Approachable Earth is committed to using natural materials to create items to love and use every day. We recognise how essential it is to use products that are sustainable, re-useable, recyclable, and compostable; these products are created with this ethos in mind.
All of the bags are made from cotton, wool, silk or linen fabrics.
Details are important. These are some of the environmentally-friendly ways we work every day:
* All threads, and drawstrings for sewing are 100% cotton.
* All fastenings (buttons) on the Harris Tweed handbags are wood, clay, or coconut shell.
* The purse clasps on the Harris Tweed coin purses are re-useable and can be cut from the purse to make another one when the fabric is worn out.
* The face coverings have elastic bands to fasten over the ears (for easier application), however, we do offer cotton ties if we are commissioned to make them.
* Approachable Earth packaging is recyclable (eg. Paper ribbons that tie on paper labels).
* We order business cards made from recycled t-shirt cotton fabric ends.
* Only paper bags are used to bundle purchased products at craft fairs and trade shows.
* Continually striving to source recyclable ways to package our parcels to customers.
